Requesting a performance:
Please keep in mind that we are a non-profit student organization and may not be able to accept every request due to academics, distance, Cal Poly scheduling, and team availability. However, do not let this deter you from requesting our services, for we try our hardest to perform whenever we are requested. Additionally, while we are a non-profit, we would appreciate a donation to help us cover equipment and transportation costs.
We appreciate advance notice for any event request to give us time to organize and prepare.
Any performance within San Luis Obispo County requires at least 2 weeks notice.
Any performance outside of San Luis Obispo County requires at least 4 weeks notice.
Since our team only travels by car, requests for performances outside the state of California are likely to be rejected.
Don't know if your request is appropriate? We have performed at weddings, schools of all levels, restaurants, retirement homes, parades, festivals, parties, and many more occasions. We are more than happy to perform at any event you have planned!
Where can we perform? While we typically perform in SLO County and the Central Coast, and while we have performed from the San Francisco Bay Area to the Central Valley and Los Angeles Area, we may not always be available to perform in those areas. If we are unable to perform at your event, we may be able to recommend other lion dance teams that could.
